Richard West teaches piano, theory, beginning guitar, beginning percussion, and all band instruments:

Mr. West received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1975. He was the band director at the New England Kurn Hattin School in Vermont from 1975-1978. Mr.West toured with a Boston show band from 1978-1979, performing in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and Canada. From 1979-1981, he returned to Vermont to resume his job as band director. He has been a Lee County elementary, middle, and high school teacher since 1982 and has been teaching at Cadence Music for 12 years.

Michael Willis teaches acoustic and electric guitar as well as bass guitar:

Mr. Willis came to Ft.Myers in 1978. He lived in San Diego for a brief stint, then came back to Ft.Myers in 1994. Mike has played the guitar since the age of 18. He is currently working on an Associates Degree in Music Education while studying theory, guitar and vocal at Edison College. Mike plays and teaches a variety of styles and has been teaching here since 2003.

Don Reynolds teaches clarinet, flute, saxophone and trombone:

Mr. Reynolds was born in 1934 and begin playing clarinet at the age of 6. At the age of 16, Don became a professional musician and undertook advanced studies with Mr.Anthony Tratto, principal clarinetist for the New York Philharmonic. His studies included arranging, orchestration, composition and theory.

He has performed with several Big Bands in the 1950's, including Hal McIntyre of the Vaughn Monroe orchestra, Ross Thompkins of the Doc Severinson Tonight Show Band for 25 years,Glen Campbell, Bobby Goldsboro and others.

Other significant playing credentials include being a studio musician in Nashville, TN, performing with various other bands, producing an album and supervising studio production. Don joined our teaching staff in 2002.
